Makeup & Skincare - Acne Scars on Body

Question
Hi,

I had a major acne condition which has now improved after i started seeing a dermatologist. The acne has "dried up" and not "active" anymore but they seem to have left scars on my entire upper back and some on chest and butt. Although I guess this should heel in time, I was wondering if there is something I could apply as well that could fasten the process as I am getting married in a few days. Some blackhead/ acne scars also seem to be present on my butt along with cellulite marks. What can I apply for this? I am already using some body firming/ cellulite reduction gel.

Answer
Hello Megha,

Unfortunately, nothing that is currently sold on the market will effectively fade your scars in a few days. Exfoliation is key when trying to fade scars. Apply body scrub daily to slough off dead skin cells, as well as improve cell turnover rate. Mederma is a popular scar lightening cream, which you probably benefit from. You seem to be on the right track taking care of your cellulite marks, continue to apply cellulite reduction gel daily. There's a phrase in beauty that always apply. If it didn't get there overnight, It's not going away overnight.

Miko
