Question
Hi,
I recently was given the Dinair airbrush makeup kit as a gift.
My daughter spent a lot of money on this for mothers day.
I have watched tons of video's on how to use an airbrush. They always say not to pull to far back on the nozzle lever. I try and follow what they say but mine seems to not to work unless I pull it all the way back. When I pull it like they tell you too all that comes out is air. You do not see any makeup coming out at all. On all the video's I see the makeup coming out and being sprayed on but again when I pull it back let's say in the middle of the lever all you see and feel is air. I even put it on white tissue to see if it is coming out but I don't see it but the tissue remains completely white. so I have not yet achieved the look I want and feel it may be because of the way I am using the lever.
Gosh all that and I have not asked my question yet...sorry long winded writer. Ok my question is this...Is it ok to pull the lever back all the way? If not how do I get the makeup to come out instead of just air.
Also i stink at putting the blush on so I was wondering can I use regular blush and eye shadows on the dinar foundation.
Thanks,
Tee

Answer
Hi Tee!

First congratulations on your purchase! Once you work out any issues you are having you will love having the airbrush.

You really should not have to pull back all the way on the lever. The slightest pull on the lever should push the makeup through. It sounds to me you have a clog. Have you tried soaking the Airbrush in warm water for abouot 30 minutes? I would try that. Watch the section on the instructional DVD on cleaning one more time. Also be sure the hose is properly attached onto the compressor and Airbrush.

It sounds to me you just need a little more practice with applying the blush. You can definitely use traditional Makeup products in combination with the Airbrush Makeup but I love the look of a full face of Airbrush Makeup. When applying the blush with the Airbrush turn the pressure in the compressor down slightly and very gently pull back on the lever. Do even circular strokes for about 3 seconds on each cheek or anywhere you want that sunkissed look.

Let me know how all this works out - I'm here to help you out anytime : )
Warmly,
Jacey
