Question QUESTION: Ok, my whole family thinks I have a model body and have found a Model Search that they want me to get into. It is in two weeks, and I am not that willing to go. Yes, I am thin (around 118 lbs), 5 foot 9, though I'm only 13, I have blonde hair and blue eyes, and a great figure... But, on the other hand, I have acne on my face and shoulders, also a rash on my chest. I have tried sooooo many things. From things with 10% Benzoyl Peroxide, to prescription topical gel and Zinc pills. My latest craze is actually using Hydrogen Peroxide - straight on problem areas. Yes, yes, I shouldn't be using it on my face, but it is the only thing that can do ANYTHING. Yet lately it hasn't done much. WHAT IS THE MOST POWERFUL STUFF??? My skin has NEVER been irritated in my whole life, it is sooo tough, but extremely oily. I also think that my legs are too fat, when I am sitting, they flop out to about 5 inches in width, they also jiggle a lot. PLEASE help!!!! What can I do and use to help make me a model??!!
ANSWER: Hi Natasha-
Well you are not the first to ask me such questions. Honestly, you need to give any good skincare routine a good 6-8 weeks to start seeing the full results. This is because it takes your skin that long to "turn over". So my question is I know your trying lots of different things but are you giving one treatment line a chance?peroxides are extremely drying so if you have oily skin this can create more oil or a oily with a dry skin surface. Try a gentle cleanser like a cetaphil or purpose skin care cleanser. There is absolutely NO miracle product that can cure acne. You can use products to minimize. If you find that the gentle cleanser are not for you opt for a salycilic acid base cleanser. Your routine should include the following for your age and concerns:
1-cleanser
2-spot treatment for blemishes
3-an spf for daytime which can be found in a moisturizer
4*an exfoliator such as a face scrub or a exfoliating disc you can incorporate with the wash. This should be done at least 2-3 times a week on clean skin. If you use a daily cleanser with daily exfoliation that is fine you are all set.
My recommendation is a line called cosmedicine. It is available on HSN or I believe sephora. If you must do drugstore opt for a cleanser I mentioned above with an exfoliating disc, and they both make spf moisturizers as well.
good luck

QUESTION: Thanks for FINALLY answering my question after I have asked about 3. Anyway, I have to switch after a while, since when I try a new routine it usually clears right away, but then it slowly gets bad again. But I just am so sick and tired of it that I just finally stayed with my current. My parents will not let be buy any more products untill I am 100% sure it will work with my skin. So far I have done:
Proactive
Acnefree
Clearasil
Clean&Clear
Oxy
Equate
Duac (Perscription med)
and the Zinc pills, which have slowly stopped working, and only help with the scars.

I am not sure of your follow up question because it seems like you do not have one?

I'm basicaly telling you what I have used, and wondering what else is good, is Exposed very trusting?
Answer I am not familiar with that line. Opt for a gentle cleanser like Cetaphil or J&J clean and pure. Use an exfoliater pad once or twice a week with the cleanser. Then use a good moisturizer with spf. Cetaphil also makes one and neutrogena is not bad.
STOP jumping around. Give it a good 8-10 weeks and be religious with the routine. You can not expect full results if you start slacking by not washing your face day and night or skipping exfoliation. Consistency is key.
