Makeup & Skincare - product question

Question
Hi,

I am 37 years old, I have a fair complexion.  I do not get blemishes but I do get oily skin at times around the nose area.  I don't yet have wrinkles, but do have the black circles under my eyes!  What kind of makeup is best for this skin type?  Is liquid foundation better or the powder that is a combo of foundation and powder?  I don't like anything that looks cakey.  I have larger pores on my nose and tried a foundation primer but have seen no difference in the appearance of my foundation and it does not last longer like it claims it will.  I would like my skin to have a matte look.  My nose seems to be the biggest issue.  What kinds of foundation and other products should I be using?

Answer
I would recommend the mineral powder foundations since they naturally absorb extra oil from your skin throughout the day and make you look more glowy than oily.  It also has natural sunscreen in it and healing properties.  Then, if you do start to get oily at the end of the day use some blotting papers to remove the excess oil rather than adding more powder on top.  For the dark circles under your eyes try a little extra mineral powder to help minimize them. Primer is a tough thing to work with sometimes and a lot of the time it is a very slight difference that you can see with the naked eye, although it really helps out with photography if done right.

Hope this helps- good luck!
