Question i am 29 years old and i have fine lines under the eyes and on the forehead. now just so you know my diet is very poor- junk food, i barely drink water and no fruits or vegetables, but i dont spend that much time in the sun, maybe an hour a day if that. so i know my diet is probly the reason for them. so i was wondering what foundation you would recommend? also i wanted to tell you that i am also a transgendered girl and will be starting hormones in a couple of months, and was wondering if they will help with skin problems?
Answer Hello Crystal,
It looks like you have a big part of your answer in your own question: improve your diet, drink water and get more sunlight; I think that would be a good start to improve your condition. Your body is being build from what you eat and drink and breathe so do the math and you'll see that it's really beneficial to improve and clean up your life style. The truth is that your skin is showing you that you're going into premature aging: you need to take care of it now, not later. And you can do it with simple changes in your beauty routine and diet.
If you've gone through medical treatments and surgery, your skin may just show you that your body has been under stress and needs some special care. If you're not ready to improve your diet, then at least do detox in the Fall and in the Spring. You can read more about detox here: http://www.naturepurity.com/holistic/springdetox.html
Then, I would recommend to apply precious plant oils like Wild Musk Rose oil, Borage oil, Primrose oil, Jojoba oil or Argan oil as night care to hydrate and regenerate your skin. If your skin is really dry, you should use pure Shea butter to nourish and replenish your skin. Your eye contour is the most delicate skin area of your body so it needs extra care. Smoking, alcohol and sweets are really bad for your skin, so watch out for those...
I would recommend foundations from Dr Hauschka or Lavera and do not use too much of it to let your skin breathe. You may find lots of other products on the market, like the amazing glowing cream from Guerlain, but they are laden with chemicals which I wouldn't recommend.
As far as the hormone therapy, I am not able to answer your question as I would need to know your complete profile and the dose of which hormones you will be taking to start having an idea about how it's going to affect your skin. I would advise to discuss that with your doctor who follows you.
