Question I'll try and keep this quick. I actually intend to go into the videogame industry but could not find any expert available so I hope you will be able to answer this question about working in the entertainment industry. When I'm looking at my skillsets for a career and I realize the thing I'm best at is my abillity to be a perfectionist. I often can see flaws in movies or games that many would miss but dampen the expirence and potentialy lose profit. Is there any kind of job that I could use this to my advantage?
ps: Being that I want to go into the entertainment field, I also have the ability to create and work with art, and I'm heading off to college to learn the nescessary technical skills.
Answer Hi Ryan, I think of myself in the same way. I'm an ideas person but some people may perceive that as wanting to be a director when it is really being a collaborator.
You may want to look at mediation courses you can take in college. At the end of the day, nowadays those who have complete computer skills will have the best chance of being hired, even if they lack the classical and intuitive knowledge you and I may possess.
That is why the planet gets so coldhearted durinig a recession. The people in control really have no clue how to collaborate with outside the box thinkers, and instead form a tigher circle amongst the very people that helped cause the mess.
All I can say is help others fight the good fight and grow that way as well even as you hone your computer skills. Computer skills only will simply make you an unbalanced individual, no computer skills can make a you lost one as well.
