Question
Hello,
We are 3 guys planning a quick trip to Malaysia from Singapore. We are interested in exploring KL nightlife, city and also want to see Genting (casino, theme pk, nightlife)

Need to know whats there for young ppl in Malaysia and how we can maximize our time. Also the best way to get to KL/genting from singapore.

We will be travelling 1st wk of december.

Answer
Hello Ash,

There are a few ways to travel to KL. Bus is often very cheap about $30-$50 and comfortable. I don't know the exact details but if you google it, I am sure there are information available. One website i found is http://www.journeymalaysia.com/ptasingkl.htm

You can also take an overnight train and reach KL in the morning. That way you can sleep. I don't think driving is a good idea because you are only there for 2 days and you are planing to go to Genting anyways. To go to Genting, you can take a bus from KL Sentral or Puduraya whichever is more convenient to the cable car station and then proceed with a cable car to the top. You can check out the transportation and activities at www.genting.com.my. There's not much of a traditional "night life" in genting but there's a lot to do there. I usually go to the casino, eat, or stay up late hanging out with friends. The weather is fantastic at night by the way.In KL, check out Bangsar and Bintang Walk. I think that is all you can do in 2 days. So maybe start with your first day in KL and then leave early the day after to Genting. I would recommended staying a night in Genting but if you don't have time, you can always leave before it gets dark.
