Question QUESTION: Dear Lithman,
i am planning to visit malaysia during 15th Nov 08 to 30 Nov 08 with my wife for honeymoon trip. my destinations will include KL, Genting, Peneng and Langkawi. the only question i like to ask is about the weather in KL, Penang and Langkawi. Will it be so warm to be worried and can we move around in day timing. also can we enjoy beaches of langkawi in day timing. Also need some information about the water condition in Langkawi.
ANSWER: Hi Sohail,
This time of the year is when the north easterly monsoon season begins. Rain and windy conditions are expected at the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia.
Since you will be visiting the west coast of Malaysia, this should be alright. Temperature should range from 23 Celcius to 33 Celcius with Relative Humidity 75% on average. The water condition in Langkawi should be slightly above calm during this time but you should be able to enjoy the sea as the west coast of Malaysia is shielded from huge wind by the island of Sumatra, Indonesia.
QUESTION: Thanks for your reply,
as we will visit Malaysia for Honeymoon so i need more detail about the weather during day timing in KL and Langkawi, will it be too warm to bear in noon and after noon. can we walk around during day timing. will there be problem like sweting or skin burning as highest temp is 33 C. after all Malaysia is too beautiful but i have only concern with the warm weather which may destroy our enjoyment.
Answer Hi Sohail,
The temperature will be at its highest at around 11:30am to 2:30pm. You should be able to walk even around this time but you will need to take a cap with you. If you are sensitive to heat, you may want to apply sun-block when you move around. The best time to move around is in the morning and after 5pm when the weather is cooler.
