We have been advised to go there rather than malaysia. We def want to stay on a beach what do u think?

Phuket is in Thailand. Personally I haven't been to this island but have heard that it is a nice place to stay.
In Malaysia, I would recommend Redang Island or Perhentian Island. Not as developed as Phuket but if you like crystal clear water and white sandy beaches, this are the two islands that I would recommend.
