Malta/Cost Of Malta

Question
Hi,

We are going to be visiting Malta for the first time next week.  This is a budget holiday, and we really want to stay within our budget.  We will probably need to eat out every night, plus lunch.  I have budgeted about 25 Euros per day.  We will not be doing much sightseeing... mainly relaxing on the beach and the hotel.  Will 25 Euro per day be enough for one person to eat?

Thanks,

Marie

Answer
Hi Marie

Eur25 for lunch and dinner is going to be a bit tight...unless you have a sandwich, roll or a pie from a local pastizzi shop for lunch and then a pizza or a plate of pasta for dinner. It's doable but you have to look for the right priced restaurants. This will obviously not include any wine. There are a lot of restaurants that offer tourist menus around Bugibba and Sliema areas.

Hope you'll enjoy your stay.
