Question QUESTION: I have booked a time share week at Halland International Resort Club in St Juliens. I can't find out much information on the place and wonder if it is suitable as accomditions. I'm wondering if you know of it or can give me advice regarding this resort.
ANSWER: Hello Roger
To be honest the hotel is not a very popular one on the island. First of all because if is situated in quite a remote are so there is no where of interest nearby and you would need a car to go anywhere. Secondly, it does not even have a good reputaton in terms of service and facilities, however, you can look other people's comments of www.tripadvisor.com.
thanks

QUESTION: Thank you. Now I'm concerned. Do you have other recommendations for inexpensive accomditations? There will be 4 adults and we will have our own auto. We don't need plush, just clean and a small kitchen to keep our costs down.
Answer If you have a car than the location of the Halland is not so much of a problem and you will be able to park the car easily unlike in other more central places. I got my impression of the standard of the hotel from the reviews on the net and I can understand you being concerned.
There are plenty of hotels to choose from. I think it is best to run a search in www.choosemalta.com and once you find a hotel that suits your budget check the reviews about it in www.tripadvisor.com. I wouldn't know which one to suggest as there are so many especially round the St Julians / Sliema area.
