Question
I am arriving for a holiday in Malta on the evening of 4th April at approx 9pm.  I am aware the following day is Palm Sunday. I am staying at an apartment in Portomaso. Will there be anywhere open that I can pick up provisions?

Answer
hi jacqueline

as a rule supermarkets do not open on sudays here...any sunday. however down the road from portomaso there is one called scots supermarket that opens on sunday mornings. also, in paceville, around the portomaso area there are plenty of bottle shops where you can pick up things like milk, bread, and other day to day provisions. you can then go to arkadia supermarket, part of the portomaso complex, on monday morning.

enjoy your holiday.
