Malta - Staying in Marsascala.

Question
Hi Michelle,

My partner and I are staying in an apartment in Marsascala from the 14th - 21st November this year. Was just wondering if you could tell us what type of evening entertainment might be available there?  We are both in our late twenties and most nights would be happy to go out for a few drinks, maybe visiting a nightclub a couple of nights whilst there. Would we be able to do this in Marsascala (or would we have to travel elsewhere - I have heard most nightlife is available in St Julians/Paceville area)? We will have a hire car to get around.

Also, what is the weather like during November and what type of clothing should we bring?

Any information you could give would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks,

Lynn.

Answer
Hello Lynn

There are quite a few bars and restaurants in Marsascala but as you heard most of the night life is in St Julians or Paceville. There are clubs, cinemas, all types of cuisine places, different types of bars etc there so you really want to be there most nights.  To get around in Malta a car would be ideal as public transport is a bit complicated especially in the evenings. The night life gets going rather late in the evening and by then the bus service would had stopped. Getting to St Julians from Marsascala would cost you by taxi. I think you're better off hiring a car which even takes care of the getting to and from the airport.
Weather should be warm days but cool in the evenings. You could be unlucky and get a few showers but no need for extremely warm clothes. Also, you might even enjoy a dip in the sea which would still be fairly warm...especially by british standards ! :-)

hope this helps.

Michelle
