this depends on so many factors, it's difficult to answer. A single person earning Eur18,000 can live a comfortable life, no excess luxury but say own a car, have a mortgage and go on a holiday once a year.
cost of living is not as high as mainland europe but steadily on the increase. A capuccino is Eur 1.50, this is usually my measure for cost of living when i travel.
