Question We have a 16 month Maltese - male. He will not come when he is called unless we have a treat in our hand. He grabs it and runs away. I try to get him to come to put a sweater on to talk a walk, it is quite a battle. I try to get him to come to me just to pick him up, I call his name, tell him to come he just lays on the floor and looks at me, if I reach my hand out to him he jumps away. I am retired so he and I are home everyday together. I walk him a mile every day. Your help will be greatly appreciated, Thanks
Answer lol my maltese does this its soooo frustrating.
we have stone stairs in our house and in the morning when we get up i have to carry him down and he cant wait to get down put when i go to pick him up he just jumps away lol its so funny all i do is just say come here firmly then give him a stroke to let him know nothing is wrong also practise calling him giving him a treat and then repeat eventually it should work , hopefully!
