Question
My maltese's name is Fluffy. He is currently 10 pounds and we are trying to get him to lose a bit of weight as he is only 8 months old. We try giving him dry food but he just doesnt want it. We have to bury some treats inside of his bowl just for him to look at the bowl, otherwise he just turns his head the other way. I have tried giving him Cesar's food, but he had really bad diarhea and we have stopped. That was the only food he ate without any fuss. I just don't know what to do about him. Is there some thing I can do about his eating habits?

Also, we have somewhat potty trained him. He will bark or lick our ear when eh has to go to the bathroom. Sometimes, he just happens to go in the house and I am not sure how to make him stop. I immediately pick him up and put him inside his crate, but this does not seem to be working with him. Any special advice?

Thank you so much! I look forward to your answer.

Answer
Hi there, hope your ok.
i had this same problem with my maltese he was very fussy i reccomend soaking his dry dog food in a little water for a while ans then trying him on it or mixing with a little gravy - very watered down gravy, as it wil enhance the flavour- also Royal canin sensitive is a suberb dog food and it is specifically for mini dogs with a fussy appetite. its a ely food which is very good for the0.
good luck
