Managing a Business - vacuum cleaners

Expert: Walter L. Gibson - 9/22/2009

Question
Hi Walter,
I just started overseeing this hotel in NH-USA and we have 50 rooms. The previous person has been running down the hotel for the past 5 years and everything is a mess.
Anyway, our room cleaners have been using these $30 upright vacuum cleaners and apparently they burn them out in a few months and buy another one.
I tried talking to vacuum cleaner companies and I get the feeling like when an insurance salesman is talking to me.
What do you recommend for vacuum cleaners?
Thank you Walter.
Randy

Answer
Randy,

Try ordering from www.vacland.com

We use Royal vacuums - commercial grade.  They last forever, are easy to work on and the vacland reps are great!  If there is anything I cannot work on myself, I take them to a local repair company (but I can order the parts cheaper myself through vacland.com)

You can also order other housecleaning equipment and supplies from them.

Good luck in your new venture!

Walt
