3. you need three staff members in the restaurant everyday. Each staff member cost $900 per day
4. each meal cost you $10 on average in ingredient
5. utilities cost $1,000 per month
6. No other expenses or revenues
7. there are 31 days in the month

you identify the VARIABLE COSTS, those which are related to volume
You identify the FIXED COSTS those that are related to time
You determine the contribution towards FIXED COSTS from each sale
the breakeven point is the  number of meals you need to offset the fixed costs
