You know I think I need to know what my objetives are first to use stephen covey method.
thanks for your kind opinion

Answer
Hi, thanks for writing.  Sorry to hear of your job loss.  As you mentioned, you should write down what the most important principles are for your life and for your job.  Your job principles may be defined by your boss or the corporation, but the personal principles (for example, honesty, family, etc.) must come from your own priorities.  The Covey principles are good to follow in generating these.  These are general unifying principles.  On a day to day basis, write down all the things that need to be done.  Prioritize these by importance, referring to the general principles to decide, when you need to.  "A" means vital, and you should underschedule these so they are all done.  "B" means important, and you should overschedule these, filling the rest of the day with doing what of the important you can.  "C" means some value, and are generally procrastinated.  "D" means waste, and should be eliminated.  You should therefore be doing the most important things first in your day.  Make sure you know the difference between "urgent" (which can be A, B, C, or D priority) and "vital/important" which can be urgent or not.  You should focus on the vital/important rather than urgent, although an urgent "A" would probably be done before a nonurgent "A".  Hope this helps some.  Good luck and write anytime!
