About Thomas
Expertise
I would like to take on questions regarding Manilow's early career (pre Mandy / pre 1975). I find this aspect of his career the most fascinating. Most of what occurred after Mandy has been well documented on the Barry.net. I am not interested in questions about Barry's personal life, just the music please!

Experience
I have done some research in the area of Barry Manilow's early career. I am hopeful I can share this information with others out there seeking this obscure phase of Manilow's career.

Education/Credentials
I am a College graduate.

Question
Hi,

I have several questions.

Does Barry and Bruce Sussman; or Barry and Marty Panzer ever hang out, if so, what kind of places would they hang out?

Does Barry have an apartment in New York, if so, which part (Soho, China Town, etc.)?

Does Bruce or Marty live in New York?

Does Barry ever visit Bruce or Marty in New York?

Does Bruce or Marty ever visit Barry in California?

Do you know anything about Bruce or Marty (birthdates, did they go to school with Barry, families-kids, wife, single, birthplaces, etc.)

Thanks for putting up with my curiousity.

Answer
A lot of your questions regarding Barry's family and friends can be found in Manilow's superb book "Sweet Life". I can't recommend it enough. It is a great read. But I do suggest READING it. I have two copies, one that Manilow signed for me, and another that I am constantly reading, studing and gleaming. I really wonder how many who have the book have actually read it cover to cover more then once. I will tell you this, EVERYTIME I read this book, I always see something I missed before. Please read this book, it will give you (or anyone else) a great foundation on Manilow's personal life told by the man himself!
