Question Hi Laurie,
I was wondering whether Barry has people in his life close enough to him that would care for him over several months in the event that he needs to have hip replacement surgery. It is my hope that he would not have to hire nurses to care for him but could rely on those who love him deeply to care for him.
Barry has deeply touched the lives of so many through his music over the decades -- I just want him to have the best care possible when he needs it the most in his life.
Thank you for answering my question.
Lily :)
Answer Hello, Lily,
Thank you for contacting me through All Experts. Now to answer your question regarding who would care for Barry in the event that he needs to have hip replacement surgery. IF this were to happen, Barry would need qualified medical support staff such as a nurse, a physical therapist and occupational therapist during his recovery process. I'm sure Barry's manager, Garry Kief, and his Personal Assistant, Marc Hulett, would do everything they can to help Barry during the recovery process, but there is no doubt Barry would need medical support staff in this situation. Some surgeons suggest that patients who have had joint replacement be transferred to a rehabilitation facility for a few more days after they have been released from the hospital. Then, after a few months of recovery, people who have had joint replacement surgery return to their normal activities. Most importantly, Barry has an excellent support system and many people who love and care for him.
I hope this information is helpful. If I can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me again.
