Manufacturing - Revolution counter

Expert: Paul J. Zepf - 2/7/2009

Question
hi, i have to set a rotational switch and count 59 revolutions - i want to use a screw-gun/cordless drill, but how can i connect a counter to it so i don't have to manually count the 59 turns of the screw, i dont want to keep counting up to 59....thanks for your help.

Answer
There is no easy way to do it. A reflector tape and sensor would help, but the only easy way is a bright broad marker line and count or a finger that is attached and when it comes around you can count the times it hits your finger or if you can attach a ratcheting counter it will count for you.
