Question Can you tell me how I can get hold of information regarding the size of different manufacturing industries i.e. Aerospace, Automotive, Chemical, Food, Pharmaceutical, Utilities etc.
May be a long shot, but have exhausted myself web searching!

Answer Dear Natalie:
You need to define the industry more precisely, such as, is it worldwide, or just in the USA. You also need to define size more precisely: such as revenues, market value, profits, assets, number of employees, etc.
Business week, Forbes, and Fortune all have issues which have surveys of private, public, and global companies, all sorted by industry, and totals.
You also may try industry associations, who publich statistics on their industry. I just checeked the Intl Bottled Water Assn, which has all the size and growth data in a time servies. Also Dept of Commerce of the Fed Govt publishes this information, and the Bureau of labor Statistics on # jobs, also.
