Dear Adam,

To add to the mystery..  I had a half gallon of poly to burst from the bottom onto vinyl flooring. I wiped as much as possible with an old cloth. Once the poly dried I applied paint stripper let it set for several minutes then scrapped with an old wire hanger. At the present time I am still searching to remove the sandpaper like coating that is still on the floor.  Thank you for your tips.

Sincerely,

Jackie O.
