Question
sir i am doing my 3 year marine engineering in chennai.i would like to know more about how the chemical carriers differ from other ships in the aspects such as construction, safety devices, corgo holds, loading &unloading procedures.SIr if you suggest any web specifically also it would be helpfull for me.

Answer
Chemical carriers are tankers. So the difference is that there are tanks instead of cargo holds; there are pumps instead of cranes; construction will be on tanks instead of cargo holds. There are many differences. Kindly download the general engineering knowledge ebook and look for ship construction at http://www.free-marine.com
