Question 1. What are the absolute advantage in tramp ships.
2. What are the competitive advantage in Liner ships.
Answer I am not an expert in business, but I think if you put your ship for hire, you will be more happy if you know that it will generate an income on a regular basis. So it is with ships.
Liners have a fixed route, so you can advertise to people and do business on that basis, whereas tramps are open for hire to any place. This makes the business so volatile. The prices will not be the same, depending on variables like where your ship is now, what type of cargo, etc. So you will have people to work out the tender each time.
Like I said this is just my opinion, but I think it makes sense.
