Question QUESTION: Hi Steve, I am putting everything I've got into affiliate marketing. I have four websites and I have informative articles on them as well as hoplinks. I have joined some forums as well as placing free ads wherever I can. I have been going at this about a month now with little sleep and no sales. I am a stay at home mom and desparately need to make an income. Am I wasting my time with this? Can this work? I was told I need to learn Search Engine Optimization, can you help me out with that, I am not sure what it is. My websites are I guess what you would call niche markets - gardening, horse supplies, NE Patriots, Making MOney Online and I am working on a relationship website.
ANSWER: Hi Lisa, Affiliate Marketing can work but it is going to take time to develop an effective campaign, using targeted keywords optimized for the search engines. If you need to make money right away you may want to look into online jobs you can do from home. If you can stay afloat financially long term and work at this on the side you can become successful. You definitely will need to learn Search Engine Optimization and learn how to run an efficient marketing campaign. You can't learn this overnight.

Answer Lisa, I wish you all the best. Wealthy Affiliate is the furthest thing from a scam you will find on the internet. They will even return your money if you are not satisfied. Once you join up I recommend you use the forum often. There are many highly successful affiliate marketers there to answer questions you may have. Kyle and Larson are the owners of Wealthy Affiliate. Both could retire today, but they say their mission is to help others to become successful at affiliate marketing. Whenever I needed help they were always there to guide me. So don't be afraid to email one of them if you have a questions that is not receiving an answer in the forum. Take care!
