Question
i have a pricing question.
i am a manufacturer selling to a number of customers including retailers, consumers, distributors, and now nonprofits.  I am trying to determine pricing for nonprofits and have not been able to come up with a model.

any suggestions?  i would also like to offer consumers the opportunity to raise money for nonprofits by selling my product for the specific cause (i.e. maybe similar to how kids do for candy bars) but how do i price this?  don't they then need to pay sales tax?  what about recording profits?

thank you!!!

Answer
KATHRYN,

1.FOR  THOSE   TRANSACTIONS   OF '' NON-PROFITS''
you  can  claim  ''sales tax exemptions''
and recorded  separately   for   auditing  purpose.

YOU  MUST  APPLY  FOR  THE   TAX EXEMPTION
WITH  THE   AUTHORITIES ,  BEFORE  YOU  COMMENCE.

2. From my  knowledge, in  selling  for  ''special  cause''

we   cover  only

-actual  cost
plus cost  to  cover  overheads.
plus the  amount  for  the  non-profit  charity.

we  do  not  make  any  profits.

regards
LEO LINGHAM
