Question Hello Joe Fournet!
I am working in a ceramic industry as Assistant Manager Marketing and our product is decorative ceramic wall and floor tile. We are selling our product through company's authorised dealers all over the country. In these days we are going to expand our production capacity, please guide me that what marketing and advertising strategies would be the best for our dealership network.
Please have a glance at some of our marketing activities in 2007 which would be helpful for you to guide me in the right direction.
- Conduct a Dealers and Architect dinner function locally and introduce them our new sizes and desings in wall and floor tiles
- Participate in Build Asia function where all the Asian companies intorduce their product.
- Provide rolling stands to dealers
- Provide leaflets to dealers
- Provide tile stands to dealers
- Prodvide shop signs to dealers
- Giveaways (Pen) for the dealers
Best regards,
Hussain
Answer I can't give you as complete an answer as you probably want because this Forum is not really designed for that sort of detail. Besides, I'd have to be more familiar with your industry to project an accurate opinion. I don't care to mislead you.
As a general rule, whatever form of education or offering that worked well last year should be repeated in some way this year. If the dealer network did not like something or advised you how to improve on something, follow their wishes as best can be and alter how you do things.
Whatever you give away, make sure it's interesting and appealing to them; that way they brag about it and show it off to their colleagues.
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. Question/scenarios like this one requite a little more specific thought and probably need to be industry specific to be really helpful.
