Question
Sir,
I am in the process of becoming a dealer for BOSCH range of power tools . But first i will be doing some trial orders. Also there,s already an existing dealer for the same make . What i want to ask you is when should i start my marketing ?..Since L be in the shop in the begining i wont be able to go to the industrial estates. One question thats bothering me is how can i market my product ( if i intend to do so ) before even starting my shop ?..I need your advice..

Answer
Hello Anil,

I'm really sorry that I've been so slow in responding.    We had a family emergency that required my immediate attention, and kept me from getting connected.

I think that it would be great for you to start your marketing as soon as possible.    If you have an address or a phone number you could drive your sales prospects toward that phone number or address.    Even if the people that you meet aren't going to become your customer you could understand what motivates them to consider purchasing these power tools and what their key drivers are (business needs, personal use).    You might also be able to sell them products by purchasing them from a competitor and adding a small markup for yourself - or even simply reselling them at the same price, just to make a connection and understand their needs.

Let me know if this helps and if you have any other questions or thoughts.

Thanks,
Chris Hawkes
