I am not sure what you mean by "automatic control".  Also, with all due respect, your question "what are the advantages of statistical packages" is not specific enough for me to provide an answer.  In general, statistical packages are critical to the practice of market research, allowing for significance testing,multivariate analyses, and other key analyses.
