Question
how to write a research proposal on consumer complaints or Brand Loyalty from a business point of view in the form of a Formal Business Report.

Answer
Hello Sanjana,

You really have two very different topics combined into one subject on this one.   The consumer complaints should be an easy one to do - just total up the number of complaints for a period of time and then organize them into some sort of logical order that management can do something with (by product, out of box failure, operator problems, product capability limitations, durability issues....

As for the brand loyalty - that's a whole different topic.     You could have customer complaints, but still have very strong brand loyalty.    Usually it takes a market research study to understand what your brand loyalty is, and why.     You may need to plan out a research study and include some of the obvious expectations in order to really understand what your brand loyalty is, and why.    This would probably take the form of a quantitative study (depending on where you're located).      If that's the route that you want to take you can find a great deal of information on my web site that talks about different types of studies - http://www.marketresearch101.com.     And if you get stuck we have some basic consulting that we could do, also.
