Martial Arts - Bo Staff

Expert: Peter Ziboce - 9/14/2008

Question
Hi, Im having trouble finding a bo staff that wont break.A friend of mine and I spar together and when we do we really go at it. But I cant seem to find a bo staff that wont break. I have already snapped two feet off my white wax wood bo (I thought those were the toughest)and Im wary about using oak woods after seeing what my wax wood staff did to my friends bokens.I have also heard that rattan almost explodes when it breaks.I have heard that Ipe wood is very tough but I dont know if its tougher than the wax wood and I dont want to spend that kind of money on a staff that might break.I found a steel staff but that is out of my budget at $250 and it weighs like 9lbs.If you could point me in a good direction it would be great

Answer
Dear Matthew,
Thanks for asking.
I would ask is there an arm that never break?
The technique of MA is to use skill wisely.
Matthew, I have encountered the strongest arm of the world (Guinness Record Holder). The question on him is ROOT.
Re-think. And the best staff you already have.
Thanks again.
Peter Ziboce
