hello dan,dont know who to listen to half my friends tell
me clean off mortar film with acid the other half says wire
brush or stiff brush the acid sounds hard please help me

Hi Mitchell,

The acid a stiff bristle brush is the easy way to clean it. You may be able to find homeowner friendly brick cleaners on the market now. I would check a building supplier that sells brick and block to see what they offer or have heard about on the market. The hard way is without acid. You first take a brick or those brick rub tools and go over the entire surface. Then take a wire brush to the whole thing carefully so you do not scar lines in the bricks or mortar.  You can water down the whole water every time you go over with the brush to see what it looks like and get the dust off.
