How much food do I cook for large groups?  What is a recommended source?

Hello Annette!  I really don't know how to answer your question "how much food do I cook for large groups", as you haven't stated how many people or what will be served.  I can point you to about the best web site I've found to help people cooking for a large group.  It's called "Dayle's Growlies For Groupies", and the web address is MEMBERS.TRIPOD.COM/~LOTSOFINFO
This site has tons of recipes in all different categories and allows you to choose the number of people you are cooking for.  It also has an online portion calculator.
