Question
i have pain in my lower back and have trouble standing from a seated position, a freind has suggested i get a deap tissue massage, do you think this is wise?

Answer
Hi there Melanie, sorry to hear you are having back trouble.

I don't think it would be unwise to have a deep tissue massage in general for low back pain, but there are so many possible causes for low back pain I can't say without knowing your health history and assessing you personally whether or not it would really help.  Have you consulted with a medical professional (doctor, chiropractor, etc)?

I would consider that first and ask them about massage specifically.  Many such medical professionals will suggest or even prescribe massage for their patients.

Best wishes!
