Subject: Tribute'01 inner door handle disconnected

Question
Hello Joshua,

I was hoping you could help me out.  The inner door handle on the Tribute has become disconnected (driver side) from the door latch. (ie. handle moves but nothing happens).  Can I do this repair myself?  I'm worried about having to remove the entire door panel and deal with an airbag.  Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Darryl.

Answer
it is a do it yourself fix if you have the know how to do so start by disarming the airbag first and the disconnenting the battery remove the inner door panel and there should be a little plastic lock clip attacted to a metal rod if not you can buy them for your local dealer and it's as simple as just replacing the clip it is time consuming but easy to do
