About Nick Marasciulo
Expertise
I`m already an expert here at AllExperts in the category of The Beatles, where my results can be evaluated. I believe that the two categories are pretty much linked aren`t they? I can answer to Paul`s fans or to whoever wants to know more about him as a Beatle.

Experience
More than twenty years of listening, reading, studying and being a huge Paul's fan . Moreover I am a bass guitar player and studied in deep Paul's great work on that instrument. For more details, see my credentials on The Beatles category.

McCartney, Paul - Yesterday

Expert: Nick Marasciulo - 11/8/2002

Question
Who wrote the music to "Yesterday" ? Was it both Lennon and McCartney ? or just McCartney on his own ? Thanks

Answer
Paul wrote words and music on his owh (apart from the strings score written by George Martin probably under Paul's suggestion).
He recalls waking up one morning with the music in his head and putting it down on a piano. The song remained in this status for about two years (under the title of "Scrambled egges") and was recorded during the "Help" sessions in the first half of 1965.
Hope it helps.
Bye.
N.
