AboutKate Expertise Sarah McLachlan in general. Specifics are often difficult, but I have access to a number of good resources in different mediums to assist in anything you may need.
I just have a question about the song Steaming, by Sarah. It was released in '89 on her album touch. It's quite beautiful, but I haven't been able to find out any information on the meaning of the song. What is it about? Who inspired it? What did she intend to say? Perhaps I'm missing it, but I'm torn between it being a bitter love ballad or a get-out-of-my-face song. Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Hussein
Answer This is a very good question.
I have never thought about it =]
Unfortunately, I'm not sure I truely know the answer, but I think you're on the right track.
Sarah always says that it doesn't matter what the song meant when she wrote it, it only matters what it means to the person who hears it.
