hello sir, just happened to visit your profile while randomly searching on a google. i have finished my B.E mechanical in india. planning for MS in 2010. MS in automotive is my aim as i want to work in an automotive company. however, was having doubts whether i could pursue MS in mechanical engineering and land up in an automotive company. looking forward for your reply. thank you.

Of course. You can pursue your studying in MS of mechanical engineering and take your courses related to automotive engineering. In most MS programs you should have a thesis and you can work on it in your favorite filed.
At last I can say that you will not have any problem for this work.
