Question I suffered a SAH. Major headache where i couldn't touch anywhere on my head, sickness, dizziness to the brink of collapse but somehow manage to keep my eyes open. Buckling legs where it made it difficult to stand or walk. All this happened within 6 seconds.
Visited emergency department at the hospital 3 times & the local doctor twice. I was kept getting told i had a migraine & kept getting sent home.
14 days later i had another hemorrhage where i was unconscious for 2 hours & suffered a stroke. when i came round i couldn't use any limb for a while & then it was just my right side. These symptoms disappeared after approx 8 hours. Rushed to hospital, transfered & had emergency operation where they placed coils in the burst anerisym.
I now have weaknesses, terrible memory, panic attacks & cannot work. Do you think i have good grounds for a claim. Many thanks.
Answer I hope it is not the case but if you have significant and apparently permanent neurological problems that actual disable you, I would urge you to gather your medical records together and go see a local medical malpractice attorney. The memory problem and panic attacks are not enough to work on. They can be blamed on other things by the defense to your case. If you have significant physical disability, you may have a viable case. Good luck.
