Question
Hi,

I have a serious abnormal weight loss issue that is not caused by undereating.  I have had colonoscopies, countless bloodtests, x-ray's, CT scans etc.  It is still a mystery and I'm getting so small and weak I feel like I'll be hospitalized soon.  The doctors have not found the problem and the research I do of my symptoms have not come up with a match.  If you can give me any type of research advice it would be great.  We've ruled out colon cancer, HIV, Diabetes, Thyroid issues, and the latest test ordered from the doctor does not seem like my problem to me. It's possible it could be an autoimmune disease or my body is not getting the nutrients for some reason.  Below are my main symptoms if that would help, thanks.

*Abnormal weight loss (50 lbs)
*diarrhea lasting for long periods
*extremely aching/soar muscles 24/7
*regular stomach discomfort

Evan

Answer
Hi Evan and thanks for writing,

I really believe you may be suffering from sever food allergies or intolerances which are seriously affecting your health and well being. Western doctors are still so slow in recognizing these common problems, but Eastern medicine have successfully been dealing with them for centuries.

My advise is to go see a good Homeopath or Eastern Medicine clinician as soon as possible and get tested for allergies (avoid quacks who just want to sell their own products). In the mean time, got to a good Healthfood Store and purchase some Polyson Drops (a natural anti-histamine) and take the maximum daily dose, 10 drops per dose; also speak to the people at the store (find a knowledgeable clerk) and discuss alternative treatments fro chronic allergies – you should probably take Acidophilus daily as well to help heal your gut.

All my best, I hope you are better soon.
Margot
