Subject: Sneezing and allergies

Question
I live in Dallas Texas and each June I get "reverse hayfever."  In other words, I have no drainage, but my sinuses swell and hurt, and no matter how much water I drink or decongestants I take, there is tremendous pressure on my face and ears.  I feel if I could sneeze or get a normal drainage the pain would stop.  Decongestants that dry me out make the pain much worse.  Mucinex and allegra help very little.  Flonase opens the breathing passages but I have no trouble breathing. I've been to different doctors each summer, but never found a solution.  What is going on, and what can I do?

Answer
The first thing is dont leave a doctor till you have visited him for at leat 5 times. he gets to know your problem and the effects of medicines gradually. select an ENT specialist.

you have definetely an allergic problem. so take lot of raw fruit, fibre and do excersice year round. this will help. you can also try homeopathy which I can also prescribe. khalid2277@rediffmail.com

Mucinex  contains guaifenesin which increases secretion so its never advisable for you.

better to visit the doctor when the problem comes.
