Question I am thinking of starting a medical supplies business, but I am unsure of the necessary licenses/or pre-requisetes I need. What would be the best source to gather the info I need. Are there any consultants I can pay to help get me started. If not is there a specific source that can give me all the details for what I need. You will need local and state business and tax licences. You will also need a Medicare licence if you intend to bill the government directly for Medicare and Medicaid patients.
The best sources are your local and state governments and the Federal governement for information on Medicare/Medicaid.
I am sure there are consultants in this area but I do not know any. Your best bet is the internet and telephone.
