Question I am researching on how to start a medical equipment business. Do have any suggestions on the idea. Personally, I want to use the web as my store front. However my questions as follows:
· I have heard that there is a way to operate Med. Equipment business with out having to buy any inventory up front. What are your thoughts on that?
· Are there is other avenues for medical equipment business? (the reason why I am asking this is because initially the medical equipment business would be a part-time adventure.)
· Do need to have any certification or approval do I need to sell products in US?
Answer Dear JP,
Most Medical Equipement businesses, as with all retail businesses require purchasing inventory. The internet has changed the environment bu this is not specific to medical equipment.
I do not understand what you mean by other avenues. If you mean other than retail - yes. You can sell equipement to hospitals and Dr's offices as a B to B business.
You do not need any certification or approval to sell products if you do not bill Medicaid or Medicare.
