Medical Supplies & Devices/clinical research

Question
Hallo
I'm a student doing an internship at MediRent, a Dutch company that rents medical equipment for clinical trails [centrifuges, freezers etc.] to CROs & delivers the units to the sites worldwide.
I am trying to find out WHERE do the parties from the industry (pharmaceuticals, CROs & other potential clients) look for information (and equipment) on the internet or which websites do they regulary visit.

I would be very grateful for your help.
Thank you very much in advance and have a nice day.
Best regards

Answer
Marta,

The largest website in the USA for suppliers to the medical industry is www.devicelink.com.  This is organized by Canon Communcations which publishes a long list of publications for this inductry.  That would be a good place to start.

Another is www.medicaldevicemarketer.com.

The pharmaceutical industry is accessed through professional societies like the AAPS (American Association of Pharmceutical Scientists).

As for CRO's, I do not know where thea would find the equipment.  Actually, the CRO would not necessarily be responsible for the equipment, the investigator, test lab or sponsor would usually do the purchasing.

I hope this give you a starting point.
