Medical Supplies & Devices/export in Taiwan

Question
I have 2 distributors importing our class I and II medical devices we manufacture in the U.S.A. into Taiwan.  I have been assembling documents for them separately, and each have asked for different documents and that they all need to be notarized, which I have done eventually throught the TECO offices as well.  I have just read, though, that as of March of 2005, that notarized documents are not necessary, unless it is a govermnent document.  Am I interpreting this correctly?

Answer
I apologize for being so tardy in my response but this is not my direct area of expertise. I suggest you contact the U.S. Dept of Commerce (Taiwan Export Officer). That person can enlighten you.  You may also try contacting the ROC trade offices located in all major cities in the U.S.  I am certain they are in New York and Los Angeles.

Good luck.
