Question my doctor is ordering this IUD for me and said it may not be covered by medicare but said ablation (surgery) would be..what sense does that make? why should i have to go thru surgery or childbirth just because they don't want to pay for a piece of plastic?
Answer I agree with you..but Medicare and other plans only pay for what is medically necessary and ...I could go on and on. I am with you but I cannot give you the answer that you want. But, it is important to make sure that your doctor bills Medicare correctly, with the correct diagnosis which means that it is not used for birth control but for abnormal bleeding or whatever the reason. Do you have Medicaid also?
