Question My mother-in-law is now living with us. needs 24/7 care. Her HMO(healthsprings) doesn't recognize the county we live in, & we don't have her medicare info to switch. This is emergency as she needs a nursing home, or home health care services. i did ss, & a new card will take a month. That's the only help they gave me. PLEASE HELP Need an emergency was to switch her as she has Alzhiemers.

Go to Medicare.gov===scroll down to and click on Compare plans in your area===search the plans and pick one===if you use the pathfibder feature off the home page it will make things easier. By enrolling(can be done on line( in a new Advantage plan, it will automatically dis-enroll her from the old plan and enroll her in the new plan starting Oct 1.
