Question Hi,
After years with BCBS FEP and Medicare Part A, I pretty much have a handle on how they work together, billing, etc. Now recently I saw that the VA opened up enrollment again to veterans who might not have qualified previously, so I applied. Well, they did just confirm my enrollment under Priority Group 7c. Now what? :) I mean by that, what circumstances would there be that I could benefit from it? Can you give me some idea of the interplay?

Answer Hi Art
I have Medicare and Tricare for Life, so I have not kept up with the VA benefits. You did not mention having Medicare part B. Also if my memory serves me, Group 7c is a low priority. Check with the nearest VFW group and talk with a Service Officer and they can fill you in.
By having Medicare and VA, you have an option of which to use. So a lot depends on what VA facilities are near you and what their work load,
good luck
John
